Aberdeenshire Cricket Association

acagrades.org.ukThis is the official web site of the Aberdeenshire Cricket Association.

The news page is kept up to date by several people, who can all log in and add news stories to keep the site fresh, relevant and up to date. Readers can comment on stories if they wish, although the comments are moderated so they do not appear until they have been approved.

Daddy and a Bee created a special fixtures and results system for this site which allows results to be entered online, with points, league positions and individual high scores being calculated automatically. This has saved a considerable amount of work, reducing the time taken to update the four league tables from around two hours per week to about 20 minutes on a Sunday evening.

There is a moderated talk forum and a picture gallery which allows cricketers from all over the county (and some from further away) to join in and contribute their opinions and their  photos to the site.

Pictures and forum postings, along with regular news and results updates during the cricket season and automatic headlines and results from the ECB, mean that the site stays fresh and interesting with minimal effort.

There is also an interactive map showing all the cricket grounds in Aberdeenshire, with the facility (via Google) to print directions to any given ground from anywhere in the UK.
